[edit] Oversight

If you can add oversight now, please can i have it?

I understand that i may not because i am new. If i cant, please can i have it on rswfan?

Oversight isn't available yet. I have sent Wikia Staff a message through Special:Contact, but I expect that they will be reluctant to make the changes. SUL (talk) 17:23, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
SUL, why reluctant? I think it is some kind of their duty to perform such technical actions per community request... Qweedsa (talk) 06:58, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
They were reluctant to make the changes that allowed bureaucrats to give bot rights and administrators to give rollback rights, so I expect that they will be reluctant to make oversight available for testing purposes. They say that they prefer to keep the settings the same on all of their wikis. SUL (talk) 11:16, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I see. Their position is reasonable, of course, but I'm convinced they should one day bother to perform it. Let us wait. Thanks, Qweedsa (talk) 14:27, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Wikia Staff have said that they will not make oversight available. The discussion is now closed. SUL (talk) 20:51, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
That's too bad, but I thank all you guys for trying. — RyanCross (talk) 21:07, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] RE: Deon555

As far as I know, the ACC feature is available on en.wikipedia only, so I had no idea of its existence. Additionally, I think that Deon, in order to prevent possible questions on this, should have mentioned this moment somewhere, not in his request maybe, but on his en.wiki user page probably? Also, Balistic and I are not so experienced bureaucrats as you are, so we'll need some time to become really confident in approving requests, won't we? And as for the User:RyanCross/Administrator, I have already transferred it to the relevant template. Qweedsa (talk) 09:32, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

I believe I'm still an ACC on en.wikipedia and even I don't have anything that says I am one on my userpage. I'm not even sure if he had to worry about it as this happened over nine months ago. Well anyway, there really is no need to discuss this any longer, since eveything is fine now. And balistic and you are doing a fine job. I never said you weren't confident, and of course it takes some time to get used to being a bureaucrat. Thanks. — RyanCross (talk) 10:06, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
